ANIK Subsea Battery Packs

Reliable power. Built for the ocean.

ANIK is a high-performance, rechargeable lithium-ion battery pack purpose-built for demanding subsea, underwater, and marine applications — powering ROVs, AUVs, UUVs, subsea tools, and ocean monitoring systems. Available in 100 Wh, 500 Wh, and 1.8 kWh versions and depth-rated to 6000 m, every pack integrates battery management, in-application charging, and power-path control in one rugged, sealed enclosure — engineered for safety, reliability, and efficiency in the harshest deep-water environments.

  • All-in-one integrated designBattery monitoring, cell balancing, charge management, and power-path control in a single compact unit.
  • Power-path UPS behaviourSeamlessly switches between charge input and battery, instantly supplying power during outages — ideal ROV and vehicle backup.
  • In-application charging (5–65 V)Charge from a wide input range, including solar and wind, without interrupting the connected system.
  • Configurable outputUnregulated versions, or regulated 12 V / 24 V / 48 V via an internal buck-boost converter.
  • Rugged, deep-sea enclosureAluminium, Titanium, or Plastic housings rated for depths down to 6000 m.
  • Predictive monitoring (DIA)Onboard diagnostics track charge cycles and battery health for preventive maintenance, over RS-485 / MODBUS.

Lifecycle

ANIK Battery Renewal Program

When your ANIK packs reach end of life, there’s no need to replace the whole system. Return them to RemoteCon and we keep the proven enclosure, connectors, and electronics and fit fresh cells — restoring full capacity at a fraction of the cost of a new pack. Better for your budget and better for the ocean: less e-waste, no re-qualification of new hardware, and a longer service life from every unit.

FAQ

Subsea battery pack FAQs

How deep can ANIK subsea battery packs be used?

Every ANIK pack comes in 1000 m, 2000 m, and 6000 m depth-rated versions, with Aluminium, Titanium, or Plastic housings chosen to match the deployment depth.

Are ANIK battery packs rechargeable?

Yes. ANIK is a rechargeable lithium-ion battery pack with in-application charging over a wide 5-65 V input, so it can be recharged in place — including from solar or wind — without disconnecting the system.

What capacities are available?

Three standard capacities: 100 Wh (ANIK100), 500 Wh (ANIK500), and 1.8 kWh (ANIK1800). Custom configurations are available on request.

Can ANIK power an ROV, AUV, or UUV?

Yes. ANIK's power-path UPS behaviour supplies uninterrupted power through input dropouts and transitions, making it well suited to ROVs, AUVs, UUVs, and other subsea vehicles that cannot tolerate a power loss.

What chemistry and safety certification does ANIK use?

ANIK uses lithium-ion cells with integrated battery management, cell balancing, and charge control, and is tested to UN38.3 for safe transport.

How is battery health monitored?

Onboard diagnostics (DIA) track charge cycles and battery health and report over RS-485 / MODBUS, enabling predictive, preventive maintenance.
